IICD Seminar on social media

A kind invitation to talk about "The Impact of the social media and fake news on cultural diplomacy"at the International Institute of Cultural Diplomacy.


For convenience some of the references in the talk are listed below. The talk is adapted from a Gresham College lecture which you can find on this site.


The lecture makes use of a notorious YouTube video titled "Muslim demographics: the truth".  I feel a bit guilty about this since one of my observations in the lecture is that one should be very careful about retweeting untruths and that video is pack of lies.  There is an edition of BBC Radio 4 "More or Less" which nicely picks it apart -- so I've included a link to that as recompense.
